"Frustrated with Gifting COD Points on Xbox"
I’m really frustrated—I've been trying to gift COD Points to a friend via the Xbox Store, but the “Send as Gift” button is disabled. After digging around, it looks like this is a limitation on Xbox’s end for in-game currency. COD Points seem to fall into a category that doesn’t allow gifting the same way other content does.
So far, the only workaround I’ve found is purchasing an Xbox gift card. You can get a gift card for the right amount and send that to your friend, who can then use the funds to buy COD Points. It’s a little extra work, but at least they can get the points they need.
Has anyone experienced this with other games? It would be awesome if Microsoft could open up gifting for in-game currencies like COD Points in the future. For now, though, gift cards seem to be the go-to solution. Let me know if anyone has other ideas!
